The Orange Sneakers Foundation was born out of the dedication and passion of Richard "Dick" Guyer, a Hall of Fame swimming coach who influenced thousands of young athletes over five decades. His commitment to using swimming as his instrument for shaping lives continues to inspire our mission today. His lessons of team unity were led in large part by his leadership to always honor the team colors with his iconic orange sneakers that he proudly wore at every swimming meet. It felt only fitting to name the foundation that was inspired by his legacy, “The Orange Sneakers Foundation”.
